This CanM8 Canbus module is designed for newer Volvo models from 2017* and enables the installation of auxiliary lights even on cars that lack an analog plus signal for the high beam. The module is usually connected to the left headlight connector and converts the high beam signal from the car's CAN bus to an analog plus signal, which can be used together with a separate relay harness (e.g. SEEB093-2A or SEEB093-3A).

Please note that the module does not fit the Volvo V40.

We recommend that the installation be performed by a knowledgeable technician for best results.

Specifications

Cable colors:

Red: +12V constant

Black: Earth

White: CAN High

Blue: CAN Low

Purple: Provides +12V when the high beam is on (signal cable from the auxiliary light relay is connected here)

Function check:
The module has a hidden LED at the connector that shows the status:

Flashing red: Contact with CAN bus and vehicle status is being checked

Green light: Contact with CAN bus and vehicle identified

Red light: Contact with CAN bus but vehicle not identified – check connection and wiring.
